Nelly shows off her vocals alongside Ashanti on a single backed by Jermaine Dupri and featuring Juicy J

Jermaine Dupri has finally delivered the star-studded single he’s been teasing with nelly, ashantiand juicy ja reinvention of a ’90s R&B favorite.

Released on Friday (February 9), “This Lil’ Game We Play” features a subdued, tantalizing sample of Subway and 702’s classic Motown single of the same name from 1994.

While the original version of the track relies more on mesmerizing downtempo R&B, Jermaine Dupri’s version adds breakdown rhythms, shaking hi-hats, and jump-inducing bass kicks.

With less than a week until Valentine’s Day, the Atlanta mogul-produced reworking is tinged with romance and lust, and finds Nelly and Ashanti singing, going back and forth as they exchange love bars.
