Apple TV+ managed to put two of our favorite things together and create a wild, creative show that combines fashion and history in a way we haven’t seen yet. And just when you thought you knew everything about some of the most important fashion creatives of all time, The new look It’s deeper than ever and brings to life some of the biggest moments you probably didn’t know about.
And that cast is also excited for you to discover the real story behind not only Christian Dior and Coco Chanel, but also other design powerhouses like Balmain, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Pierre Cardin. In fact, you can see a special behind-the-scenes look at the show below:
The new look focuses on Christian Dior’s iconic first collection of the same name and how it changed fashion during World War II and beyond.
“It symbolized healing and brought a nation back to its feet,” star Maisie Williams says in the video.
The series will also feature other top designers who were friends and competitors of Dior, as well as key people in Christian’s life, such as Maisie’s sister Catherine Dior, who was also a resistance fighter during the war.
The series also stars Ben Mendelsohn as Dior, Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel, John Malkovich as designer Lucien Lelong and Emily Mortimer as Eva Colozzi.
The new look will premiere on Apple TV+ on February 14, 2024 and will air weekly on the streamer every Wednesday.
