I’m looking for inspiration for new outfits: 5 great looks that I added to my saved folder

After starting the new year with the best fashion intentions, I always find that in February I’m struggling to find outfits that feel fresh and exciting. The winter months (and classic British blues) have meant that utilitarian thinking has had to be front and center, minus the interlude of festive parties, and I’m officially exhausted with the knitwear and jeans rotation. It’s time to update and I can always rely on my favorite influencers to give me a good dose of inspiration for my outfit.

This is what I’m looking for: cool, understated outfits that have just the right amount of shine to make them look put together, without seeming fussy. It has to be simple, but high impact, and ideally based on some core products I already have (or am happy to upgrade). And while I want the outfits to look expensive, I don’t want them to break the bank. After a lot of scrolling, I think I found five that fit the bill. Scroll to see my picks.

1. Perfect Layers

Style Notes: This is the year I’m determined to master the art of layering, and Liv’s outfit is an example of my dream look. The rich tones are deliciously good and the individual elevated basics can be reworked into many different outfits.

Style Notes: Everyone may be talking about the mafia wife aesthetic, but Camille’s ensemble is a great way to nod to the trend without going overboard. Soprano. Plus, a faux fur jacket will always come in handy.

3. Column skirt + Jersey

style notes: I’ve gotten a little tired of my midi skirts and I think a column skirt is a very novel alternative. Combined with a red sweater, it achieves the ideal balance between elegance and modernity.

4. Sculptural top + pants

Style Notes: After the festive rush, the idea of creating elegant evening looks seems a little overwhelming. Débora proves that really all you need is a really pretty top that can instantly enhance pants you probably already own.

5. Slip skirt + Textured sweater + High boots
