Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja had to take to social media after certain allegations made by his father in an interview went viral on social media. Ravindra’s father claimed that his relationship with Indian cricket team star and his wife Rivaba has been strained for a long time, prompting a response from the all-rounder. At an event, even Ravindra’s wife Rivaba was asked about her husband’s father’s allegations. But the politician refused to delve into the issue and reminded those who questioned him of the purpose of the event.
“Why are we here today? You can contact me directly if you want to know,” Rivaba said when asked about comments made by Ravindra’s father in a video shared by Zee 24 Kalak.
Earlier, Jadeja took to social media and termed the interview his father gave as “pointless and fake”.
“The things mentioned in the dubious interview with Divya Bhaskar are meaningless and false. They are one-sided comments which I deny. The attempt to tarnish my wife’s image is inappropriate and condemnable. I too have a lot to say, but it is better that don’t reveal those things in public,” Jadeja said in a post on Instagram.
At the beginning of the interview, Ravindra’s father revealed how his son and daughter-in-law live separately and barely communicate with him.
“Do you want me to tell you the truth? I have absolutely no relationship with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. We don’t call them and they don’t call us. The problems started after two or three months of marriage.” “.
He even regretted the fact that he had turned Ravindra into a cricketer. If that hadn’t happened, maybe things would have been different between him and his son today.
“Currently I live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a bungalow of his own. He lives in the same city, but I can’t see him. I don’t know what magic his wife has done with him.”
“He is my son and that burns my heart. I wish I hadn’t married him off. It would have been better if he hadn’t become a cricketer. Then we wouldn’t have to go through all this.” Jadeja’s father said.
“Three months after we got married, she told me that everything should be transferred into her name. It created a divide in our family. She didn’t want family and wanted an independent life. I could be wrong, and Naynaba (Ravindra’s daughter) sister ) could be wrong, but tell me, how can all 50 members of our family be wrong? There is no relationship with anyone in the family; there is only hatred.”
“I don’t want to hide anything. We haven’t even seen our granddaughter’s face for five years. Ravindra’s in-laws take care of everything. They meddle in everything. Now they have fun because they have a bank.” Jadeja’s father had further said.
