After the match, several Pakistan fans took to social media to troll India for their third consecutive loss against Australia in an ICC event final.
Posting his response on microblogging platform ‘X’, Irfan criticized such comments and stated that mocking and trolling his neighboring country reflects poorly on Pakistan as a nation.
“Even though their U19 team did not reach the final, the keyboard warriors from across the border find pleasure in the defeat of our youth. This negative attitude reflects badly on the mentality of their nation. #padosi,” Irfan posted from its official name ‘X’.
In a span of three months, India twice reached the final of an ICC event unbeaten in the group stage but fell short in the title clash. Coincidentally, in both title clashes, they ran into their familiar nemesis, Australia, and ended up on the losing side. First it was the senior team in the ODI World Cup final and now the U19 boys led by Uday Saharan.
Before that, India had also lost to Australia in the final of the World Test Championship.
