Xiaomi launched Redmi Buds 5 earphones in India. They will be available starting February 20 via retail partners Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Homes and Xiaomi for INR 2,999.
The Redmi Buds 5 feature active noise cancellation, which the company says blocks 46 dB of noise for up to 99.5% noise cancellation. The ANC offers three modes: deep noise cancellation, balanced noise cancellation, and light noise cancellation. Transparency mode offers presets such as Regular, Enhance Voice, and Enhance Ambient Sound.
The headphones feature 12.4mm dynamic drivers with titanium-coated polymer diaphragm. The Xiaomi Earbuds app allows you to choose from presets such as Standard, Enhanced Treble, Enhanced Bass, and Enhanced Voice.
Dual-channel AI algorithm can deliver superior call quality even in windy conditions. The earbuds support pairing of two devices and can seamlessly switch between the two for audio and voice calls. They also have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Xiaomi claims a battery life of 10 hours for continuous playback with ANC disabled and 38 hours in total with charging in the case. A quick 5-minute charge gives you 2 hours of playback and a 10-minute charge can provide 4 hours of playback.
The Redmi Buds 5 will be available in three colors, Fusion Purple, Fusion Black and Fusion White.
