Dubai has been hit by irregularities in its climate system, as extremely heavy rain and hailstorms have plagued the otherwise arid climate with a high rate of evaporation. Dubai is now flooded after sudden clouds fell heavily on the busy city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Dubai government employees have been asked to work from home until Tuesday, February 13. The UAE education authority also declared the continuation of distance education in all public schools on February 13.
The report added that the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a red and amber alert, warning of continued wet weather.

This period of climatic instability is due to “an extension of an upper air depression, accompanied by a cold air mass, and westerly air currents, with different amounts of clouds flowing over the country from the west,” according to the MNC.
The highways and public services departments of the seven emirates have also issued multiple safety advisories for motorists driving in rain-affected areas. A lightning strike was also witnessed on the world’s tallest man-made structure, Burj Khalifa.
